Happy Turkey Day!

To all my fellow Canadians: Happy Thanksgiving!

To all my American friends and family: Happy conquest of the Spaniards day!

To everyone else: Have fun at work today!

Ahh… Thanksgiving, a time of Football, turkey, wine, and other gluttonous persuasions. The perfect day for a family such as mine. And as any North American will tell you, I’ll be passed out in a satiated turkey coma in about an hour, so I’ll keep this short.

Doesn’t the year just seem to fly right by? I mean, it’s already almost half way through October! Before you know it, kids will be in costume, then americans will be in their own personal turkey comas and/or killing each other for the last Tickle Me Nintendo Wii, and then it’s Christmas!! I guess it’s just been one of those years. Did they all whiz by like this one?

For such a short feeling year, I suppose there is much to reflect on. I’ve gone through two jobs this year and finally landed somewhere that’s very positive and supportive. Can give thanks for that. As an extended family, I think we’ve done more in a few short months this year than we have cumulatively in some previous years, so there’s that to be thankful for. I’ve got the love of my life always in my thoughts if not in my presence, so I’ve got a lot to be thankful for there. What other awesomeness can happen in the next couple of months to top off such a good year?? I guess we’ll have to ride it out and see…

On a nerdy sidenote, I’ve come to realize again why I never really got into blogging when the initial wave of blogging came around 4-5 years ago: if you don’t do it every day (or at least regularly), you just might as well not do it. to that end, as much as I love iWeb for my basic site maintenance and whatnot, as a blogging tool it has some major drawbacks. The most grevious of these being that to blog in iWeb, I need access to iWeb. I need to physically be at my laptop. When you are out and about and something happens worth noting, or I’m at work and have a eureka moment, that’s pretty much impossible. So because of this, my blog is moving. While this site will remain, my blog will be moving to an as yet unknown proper blogging site, like WordPress.com or typepad.com. I’ll just need to play with them a little bit to see if they fit my needs.

Happy Gobble Gobble Day!
