When you think of Thanksgiving in Canada and the north east US, you think of all things Martha Stewart (no, not insider trading). Family gatherings, turkey with all the trimmings, football on TV (CFL counts doesn’t it?), and a crisp, 32 degree C shorts & flip flops afternoon. Wait, WHAT?!
That’s right. Thanksgiving this year was celebrated on a hot, sunny October morn. I shouldn’t be surprised though as it was pretty warm in late September last year as well.
Today however, brings a big welcome (in my books at least) change in seasons. It finally FEELS like autumn! Cool, dewy, 10 degree C morning with a high of 15 and not a plus 20 day in the forecast! I can finally break out the fall wardrobe and wear a jacket without sweating like a Richard Simmons disciple! So welcome back autumn, oh how I’ve missed you…
And they say there’s no such thing as global warming…
